We are passionate about ensuring that our patients with chronic diseases are adequately cared for and that health outcomes in Nigeria improve.

The mission of this support group is that every person affected by or at risk of diabetes within St. Nicholas hospital and her environs has access to the support needed to live at a full and active life.

Diabetes is a condition that impairs the body’s ability to process blood glucose, otherwise known as blood sugar.

Without ongoing, careful management, diabetes can lead to a buildup of sugars in the blood, which can increase the risk of dangerous complications.

Different kinds of diabetes can occur, and managing the condition depends on the type. Not all forms of diabetes stem from a person being overweight or leading an inactive lifestyle. In fact, some are present from childhood.

Come join us today, to learn more on tips to avoid diabetes and care for your loved ones.

Every last Saturday bi-monthly (last Saturday at 2 months interval)

Venue: St. Nicholas hospital conference room, Mezzanine floor.

Time: 11.00am

Open for all diabetic patients, community members, family members, care givers, healthcare educators, etc

    Hello, please I have a brother who is of 18 year that suffers from type 1 diabetes. He has been having crisis and being managed at FMC, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. But the problem is that there is no financial capacity to buy the insulin at the appropriate time due to the financial status of the mother who is also a widow.
